Elizabeth "Lib" Edwards Schaffner, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Lib was born in Green County on January 5, 1927, and is remembered for her lovely smile, cheerful manner and servant's heart. Lib had a passion for the Lord and inspired others to study the Bible. The last Bible study she attended in January 2011 was a Beth Moore study on Revelation and she requested this study be taught at Northside. She told all her friends and family that she was prepared to meet God and exhibited great peace before her death. Her courage, inspiration and dedication to helping others and serving the Lord is why we honor her with this retreat.
